Insulsafe Textiles, Inc. was founded in 1992 in Lewiston, Maine with a goal of manufacturing woven cloth for industrial applications.
We do our own warping and slashing of both spun and filament yarns. Our weaving plant contains projectile, air jet, and rapier looms with widths up to 150”.
We manufacture a full line of scrims for filtration made with various yarns like
Polyester, PPS, Meta aramid, P84, homopolymer acrylic and anti-static polyester/stainless steel.
We also offer a line of heavy woven filter media.
We manufacture protective apparel fabrics for arc, heat and cut resistance using para aramid, Meta aramid and specialty blended yarns.
We manufacture substrates for composites and specialty coating applications.
We manufacture aramid felt tapes for thermal and other heat protection applications.
We have the ability to nap, slit and inspect fabrics.
We will work with customers to provide specialty fabrics to their specification or to meet their particular needs.
